Things to Keep in Mind
Each fall you should clean your gutters to remove all debris. Leaves, pollen, sticks, even small particles get caught in the gutters and collect. They start to decompose and become like a sludge and don’t wash out. When the snow hits in the winter, it sits on top of the debris and if there long enough, has the tendency to start melting into the sides of the house.
Gutter guards can slow the debris but still some gets in. You need to have them removed, cleaned and then put back. With our New England storms it is important to leave that whole area clear so the snow and ice can drain out quickly so that it does not back up into the house.
When the last leaf has fallen give us a call so we can help you prevent these problems.
